Scary stuff, Brigit, for sure. I’ve had a spot scraped off my back (thanks, San Diego in the 70’s) and chemo-cream for my forehead. Thank goodness there’s heightened awareness now about the dangers and the need for regular skin checks. Sending love and healing hugs.
Yes indeed, though as Julia says it's never fun waiting nekkid for them to find some new aberration! Hopefully you don't get any more of those. Yup, good old SoCal in the 70's. Thanks for the healing hugs
Feeling this and wishing you the best, least-traumatic outcome possible! I have a consult tomorrow for treatment for some concerning patches on the floor of my mouth (obvs not sun related, but perhaps wine?), because my oral surgeon said, "I don't want to just watch this until it turns into something that requires disfiguring, life-altering surgery." Not the words I was expecting that visit, but I appreciated the candor? The burning and cutting and sloughing will heal. And we will again revel in the sunshine...carefully.
Thanks Deb, that is indeed a scary statement to absorb from your doctor. As they all keep saying "Better to deal with it now," but that of course means DEALING WITH IT, in more ways than one.
It's quite a moment to stand nekkid in a gown while someone rakes your back with their magnifying glass for "spots" that "worry" them. So far I have been ok, despite my time basting with cold tea (it browns you!) and baby oil, and my days of Sun-In. (Hello, orange hair.) I caught cancer the other way, through the breast. Wishing you luck, my dear friend. And see you this week! <3
I'm so very very glad you have kicked your cancer's ass, Julia! Tea for color, yes, but also bourbon. Makes a nice golden glow from inside AND outside. See ya soon!
I see what you did there, madam! I'm quite devoted to my Clarin's self-tanning gel, after trying pretty much every decent one out there. I wish it didn't matter, but I've been conditioned, I guess, to believe that a tanned body is far more appealing (and slimming, even) than a pasty-white one.

Indeed. But, as we do, we will. Take care.

From a fellow "tan" California gal - now my tan is mainly from a bottle. I hope that you heal quickly from the removal of those "rotten" spots!

That is brutal. So sorry to hear it. I hope they get it gone asap, with as little pain or marring as possible.
Thanks, Linda. It seems like it will be baby steps for awhile.
