Not rude at all. I think her premise is that many folks are worried that others will disagree with, or be hurt by stories that reflect the honest lived experience of the memoirist. I would not have published my memoir while my mother was still alive. But there are others in there who ARE still alive. I’m not sorry about telling my story because it is just that: my story.

It's a very rocky path to travel and everyone must chose their own way, but I think the important thing (for me anyway) is to always keep your intentions clear.
